Never been impressed by Ford until now.

So I have to be honest here... Driving down the road every day I see more and more Ford Fusions. I'm sure many people here will say it's a piece of junk because it is a Ford, but be honest and answer this question. Aside from the fact that it's a Ford, is this one cool sedan (possibly for a daily driver)? I especially like the "tuner" version that appeared at SEMA.

Be honest. What's your thoughts?

certinly isnt an ugly car, I saw a few but not up close. considering some of the past cars made by ford id have to say this is a car that will help their sales on looks alone... the 500 sedan is butt ugly.

Too square and still looks like a granny car with a makeover . Lots of potential though and they may make something with it. I think the domestic brands are starting to realize that they have to do some big changes to keep up.

To be honest? I couldn't do it. I dunno. I have never been big with any Ford vehicle since 1968. As far as the Fusion goes, all I see is a modern day Taurus. A perfect rent-a-car for those on the go. I haven't been able to get that "deep" with the tuner version though. Maybe I should give it the benefit of the doubt, but I think it's just a sign of me getting older.

Personally, I love it. If they would slap a 280+ hp engine and AWD into it, I'd trade in my G tomorrow based on looks alone. But this is Ford after all so I don't think my G is going anywhere.

Glad to hear someone sees this SEMA version in the same light as I do. I would never trade my G!!!

Every time I see a Fusion, it looks to me like Ford took some styling cues from Nissan/Infiniti. The headlights have that point at the top (teardrop shape) like ours do. And the Fusion has a big, blingy horizontal silver grille, just like our cars. In this case, is imitation the most sincere form of flattery?

Still would never buy one tho...

Want to know whats sad, this Ford has a 6 speed auto that even the new G sedan won't have ...

I like the looks, but not a fan of the tailights (in stock form) or the weak engine under the hood, for once ford push the bar, throw some turbos in there or get some sort of nice v-6 that is on par with the maxima and altima v-6 ...

No matter how many mods you do...it's still a Ford. I wouldn't drive it.

The Fusion's rear end kinda reminds of me of the old Lexus IS300. A co-worker just recently bought one and it's actually not a bad car. I'd sport it!

Honestly?

- Average.

I certainly would look at an imported sedan before a domestic one.

Kinda funny how the Fusion's grille is like Gillette Fusion razor blades.

Yes, Ford did steal styling cues from Nissan/Infiniti. Ford just doesn't match up in performance, quality, or safety features. What is Ford's version of VDC called? LOL!
