Coupe vs boxster

Is an 06 Porsche Boxster AT with no mods, bone stock, faster than an 06 coupe AT also bone stock? 0-60 and 1/4 mile?

I love the G'...don't get me wrong but IMO, fives yrs down the line, the 06' will fade away while the Porsche will always look good. Porsches and G35 are like apples and oranges.

To answer your question, a Boxster should be able to hang with a G 0-60. Just look up the 0-60, I think it's 5.9s. It's not faster than a G, but that's all that 55 grand buys you at the Porsche dealer. A Boxster S should be around half a second faster.

well its not just 0-60...think about the upper end as well 100mph+......

i had a run end with a boxster....and he couldn't get rid of me...but then again i think if he had the chance to open it up on a open road late at night he would have left me....

i think the S does more than 1/2 a second performance wise...look at the whole picture...

i would take a boxster over the G ...... no blind infiniti pride here....

You hit the nail on the head with that one. I have never liked boxters, regardless of how fast they may be. If you are getting a porsche, get a real one, not a cheap knock-off.

yeah i agree with that 911>boxster..but its not a knock-off...a porsche is a porsche....the boxster put porsche back on the map in the 90's when the company was down...saying that, its a great car and so is the G....but putting the blind infiniti pride aside....boxster>G35

I dont know about that, it may still be a porsche, but i never liked em. And looking strictly at cost vs benefit, the G blows the porsche away. But everyone has their own views. I see a boxter and I say to myself, why not spend a little more money and get a real sweet ride.

Its a fast Go-Cart...Not my cup of tea, would never get any porsche, but thats just me. I like to look at them but dont like being in one.

If you want a track car, go for the Boxster S; if you want a nice affordable daily driver, go for the G

I agree.. I would take a G35 over a Boxster. Now a 911.. that's a different story heheheheheh... 911's are sizzlin hot.

As for the original question, I can't answer it. I did race a Porsche on an expressway one night when it was clear.. he spanked me but I don't know which Porsche it was. Maybe a Carrera 4.
