What do you guys think about the new Camry?

My mother is going to be getting rid of her 03 Altima SL for a Camry XLE i believe is the model. The Altima has been rear-ended twice and has been back to the body shop for the trunk leaking 5 times and its still leaking water. So we give up. The car has many other problems as well after the wreck. So its just not a safe car imho anymore.

Seems like a great buy.

It's a very nice car. My sister is also getting the new camry too. You should convince your mom to get the hybrid version of the camry. It gets 40 mpg in city.

the hybrid costs a lot more than a regular camry so cost effectiveness in the long run it's not worth it. plus that electric motor will be $$$ in 3 years after the warranty is up and you have to replace the damn thing

the new altima is coming out in a few months and nissan did a great job w/ it and a cvt transmission

toyota gives an 8 year warranty on all hybrid related components on all their hybrid cars.

I think the new Camry SE looks awesome, and seems to be a great car for the price (pretty fast too).

You cant go wrong with the new Camry or Avalon lots of features and quality.
I had a love hate relationship with my SC'd 2000 Camry.

Camry is a great choice if you want a reliable appliance; however, the styling is boring and your mom will be less than enthused about the driving dynamics coming from an Altima. What does she think about the 07 Altima released at the NY auto show?

cost effectiveness comes in favor of the hybrid after you have owned the car for 10 or 15 years. INMO it is not worth it unless you plan on having the same hybrid for the next 20 years at least! Of course there were the tax cut incetntives but i think they are long gone!

I personally wouldn't call the new Camry styling boring. I think its a sharp looking car. She doesn't like the new Altima.

Nice ride. If I were in the market for that or like car, I'd also consider the Accord. It's also a great ride.
You can't go wrong with either.
