It is AWD, and that is a R33 GT-R. The reason hes able to spin the front tires is a line lock. Usually you see this on R32's (as you can set them to 100% RWD) but I'm sure its easy to accomplish on R33's and R34's. There is no way that car could be RWD and take off like that, so gaurenteed, he just has the front brakes locked up.
