Fun w/ Christmas Lights







Arrows were the easiest somewhat interesting shape I can cut out with scissors.

Actually, the lights are hanging up against a mirror. The room was fairly dark (less the ambient light from the TV my dad was watching, hah) and I just used a relatively fast shutter speed.

The quick shutter speed also helped capture all the lights at once because I have those lights that blink on/off. I tried longer shutter speeds of about 2 seconds and I couldn't get as many lights/arrows as I wanted.

Also, note that all these were taken at the same focal length (70mm f/2.8 ISO100). I found that as I focused in/out, the size, quantity, clarity, and even direction varied.

I wonder what happens if you use the old school big bulbs? Also I think I'll be tearing them apart to match certain colors haha
