I've been searching around the house for some of my parent's old lenses and I've found 3, just wanted to know what each one was good for, I could kinda guess by the mm range but would like some more knowledgeable information

the 28-90 looks like it's off an older EOS film camera i think 300x.. 35-105 is before my time lol but a quick search says it was a normal lens made in 1987 for EOS 620 and 650 cameras. and the 18-55 is a kit lens found on newer dslrs.
the 75-300 depending on generation is a typical consumer telephoto, probably something like an older version of this: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-75-300mm.../dp/B00004XONF

The EF75-300mm f value is f/4-5.6III (what are the f values anyway?)
and I'm not sure about the rest. The 35-100mm was on the Canon EOS 300v it looks ancient, and the 28-90mm was from an older camera.
