Black & White Pics

I was just playing around this afternoon in the backyard with my camera and decided to experiment with some black and white photos. IMO, B&W pictures are really nice once in awhile. Any critiquing is welcomed.

Very nice Shane.

Are these pictures post processed? It looks like there's a little bit of softness, but not sure if it's the picture or post-processing. Looks good either way, I think it's better that way with your daughter in the pics.

I like #2 the best.

Wow Ava has grown so much since I've last seen her!

Beautiful girl and your dog (sorry forgot his name ) is so funny looking

Great pics, but I think with a bit of B&W conversion they can really pop. I like them.

Did you shoot these in monochrome, or did you convert them in post processing?

I love the complexity of B&W conversions in post processing!

The first shot is great!

Yeah, these were shot in monochrome and there was no processing done. Truth be told, I don't have any knowledge or experience with post processing.

Is it better to shoot in monochrome, or in color and then post-process?

Shoot RAW and do your B&W conversion in post processing with your program of choice.

HA!

I was right on the spot.

She grew up quickly.

I remember you posting her "baby" pics.

^ Good memory bro. And yes, she is definitely growing up quickly. It's amazing how quickly time passes.
