Some shots from the beach

Went out for a stroll with my daughter and snapped some wide angle landscape shots. Hopefully, next weekend, I'll have the 100-400 to catch some wildlife... Although from what I saw today, the only birds we have at the beach are seagulls...

1. Long Island sound; you can see L.I. on the horizon... and the moon up above

2.

3. A different perspective?

4. Messing around with a 2 second exposure and some clowns who decided to crash my FOV

Daniel, those sky and clouds are unreal man, great captures. This is why I need an UWA lens. Hopefully gonna pick up the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 in the coming months.

First one is my fav of this group, but they're all very nice. What was your focus point on that first shot?

Sick clouds!

I wish SoCal (LA) skies were that blue.

PS - 10-22 FTMFW!

^He definitely used a cpl because some parts of the sky are bluer than others, this is a typical result on an UWA lens.

i wasnt sure since i was under the impression that w/ a cpl the level of adjustment would be the same across the board (i.e same blue). i'd still like to know what he metered on.

Wonder if it would work better using a gel filter? They're available for UAW's but I've never tried them....
