Photos from my first wedding

Did my first wedding yesterday and by the end of the day my lower back was sore, and today my left trap is sore from having my camera & bag slung over my shoulder. Definately had fun and gained a lot of experience and now I have around 700 shots to go through and process.. Here are a few of my faves so far -

The gorgeous bride

wide open with the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 I love this thing on my D50 for available light

I really liked the lighting

a bit of fun

chilling out at the lounge before the ceremony

Thanks guys, these were mainly with the Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 on the D300. There were a bunch of arsty detail / portrait type shots with the D50 with either the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 or the Nikkor 85mm f/1.8. I contemplating using my brothers D200 instead of the D50 but opted for the lighter solution. I also had my Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8, 10-20mm and Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 in a Lowepro Computrekker in the car just in case but never needed them. It was definately too hectic and chaotic to be changing lenes often, hence I had the two bodies on me all the time.

Also I learned that you can never have too many batteries for your speedlights handy. I went through 3 sets for my SB-800 and later on swapped to my SB-600 because I didn't want to waste time loading and unloading batteries. This is even when shooting between 400-800 ISO on the D300. I also say boo to Energizer 1.2v 2500mah batteries, I found that the 2000mah 1.5v Sanyo eneloops to fair much better.
I just hope I can process all the photos before Saturday when I will likely be doing my second wedding

Willy, did you have an external battery pack for your Speedlight? I found that when I fire off a bunch of shots in a row (which I assume you did to get some of those candids), some come out dark because the batteries can only recycle so quickly. Again, awesome job man.

No external pack, I did look at the SD-8A before but it was pretty pricey for a glorified battery holder. The Quantum units look pretty heavy to lug around all day long, I am all for less weight. The thing with these is that they allow you to shoot your flash faster and more frequently then you probably should which may cause them to burn out prematurely. I didn't even use the 5th battery chamber because it would have been too cumbersome to change batteries.
For candids I prefer shooting wide open with primes & high ISO, flash would be too distracting.
