I just posted this in the picture of the day thread about a week ago... I could change it to a different panning picture but this is my favorite shot of this type.

ISO 1600, 1/25sec, 75-300 sony kit zoom at 85mm, no flash...at least on my camera There were professionals at/near the apex of the corner firing flashes which I picked up some.

Beautiful picture I have a great side-shot of my car at Sebring, November of last year, but I was driving and not taking the picture. The gold Brembos glowing in the late afternoon sun. My rented orange helmet is really ugly..can I post just to share?

Awesome shots so far, this is going to be a great contest. I'll hold off on entering until after the BBQ this weekend, may get some panning shots there.

Grant, post up your sick panning shots from the races or even your R-Rides shoot, you've got so many good ones.

panning=the photographer is stationary and as the object goes by the photographer rotates to keep the object within the frame which results(if done correctly) in a blurred background and a sharp object

rolling=sticking your head and camera out of the window of a moving car to take a picture of another moving car which results in also a blurred background and a sharp object but because panning is different and distinguishable from rolling shots your submission is not on topic.
