Logo's

I have to create vector graphics/logos. What program do I use? I'm pretty sure Photoshop does not create vector logo's. So, do I use Corel Draw 12? I personally never used Corel Draw so I'm not sure.

Thanks. Is Illustrator the same layout as Photoshop (program wise, tools, etc.)?

Well, I have a job to create a logo for a t-shirt. I created a logo a while back in Photoshop CS2 but they're saying the logo must be made in Corel Draw or Illustrator. So what do I do?

if you used paths in photoshop you could copy them over into illustrator, but if not you'll just have to recreate the logo in illustrator

Someone please tell me if this is OK:

1) I make the logo in photoshop, save it as a .jpg
2) copy and paste it into illustrator
3) Use live trace
4) Save as .ai file

The people I'm making the logo for are telling me there should be no nodes? These logo's that I'm creating are going to be printed on a shirt. I also have Corel Draw x4, and I use the trace function in there too. So, is just tracing it good enough or am I missing a step and do something further?
