Question Easiest way to draw a circle in Photoshop

as the title says, what's the easiest way to draw a circle on a picture? just the boarder with the inside transparent?

I always end up doing it in a retarded way by overlaying two circles but its hard getting the second one overlapped well

you could do it that way and just turn on the grid and make sure the center of the 2nd one (smaller one) and the center of the bigger one are in the same spot.

You could also draw a circle as a "mask" over an image to block out all but whats under the area of the circle...

Thanks for the help buddy, just two questions:

1- How do I turn on the grid?

2- How do I draw a circle as a mask?

lol thanks

Use the ellipse tool to draw your circle.

..then from the menu select Layer\Layer style\stroke.
That lets you assign an outer line properties,
then change the ellipse fill to 0%

...lots of other style options available in there too.

You know what, I draw my circle, one circle filled inside,

Then I got to layer\layer style\ stroke and change the opacity to 0 but nothing happens, whether I select inside, outside or center the circle stays filled in, what am I doing wrong? or do I still have to overlap two circles and then play around with stroke?

This should help. There's one picture missing in the middle but that just when you drawn your circle with the eclipse tool.

Just proof shots it's transparent.

Ugh I finally figured what was wrong, I tried both instructions but it just wouldn't work, until I saw that "Color overlay" in the layer style menu was set to difference instead of Normal which is why the circled kept on getting filled. Thanks for the help guys, it's made my life easier
