So what is the best alternative? Hope it's not necessary to read 16 pgs.

I usually put jack stands under my oil pan.

I think I commented in the wrong thread. Looking for a solution to jacking up the car, literally. My jack doesn't fit that slot correctly. Hockey puck method the best?

You can jack the car up anywhere on that pinch weld, although technically you're supposed to slide the jack further in and jack it from the frame. But with lowered cars, you don't really have a choice. And the shop lifts use the pinch welds as jacking points as well.

Jack the car via the pinch weld and place a jackstand on that pinch weld. Preferably in the slotted area.

If I just have to jack up the rear portion, I go by the rear differential. And place jack stands on the pinch welds. You need one of those extra long low profile jacks to reach the rear diff if you are lowered.

Yeah but my problem is that my jack has that rounded face. It doesn't fit the weld nice and snug. It just picks up the whole underside of my skirts. Idk if I explained myself correctly.

If the saddle is round, that's the same for almost all jacks out there. Look under the car and make sure the pinch weld is centered on the saddle of the jack, and begin jacking it up. The sideskirts do not go far enough inwards to get in the way. Unless you have aftermarket skirts. But I've worked on G35s with aftermarket skirts, and they still don't go far enough in to get in the way. If your skirts do, you can just trim a portion for the saddle of the jack.

Like this. Yes the pinch weld will probably get bent without a pinch weld adapter for your jack, but whatever.

Ok! That's what I was trying to figure out. I thought it was bad if it got damaged.

You can put a puck or maybe even some microfiber cloth on it and see if that doesn't bend it. But since it's something nobody can see, I don't care if I bend it. And I don't switch jack points all the time. I bent one spot, and I just keep jacking from that spot every time.

Mine are bent. Use the pinch welds. My cars been on jacks for about 4 months now. No issues whatsoever. Pinch welds are the way to go.

Put a hockey puck on the saddle ("the rounded face") - you can cut a small slot in it if that makes you comfortable. That will give you enough clearance so that the saddle isn't putting weight on the side skirt when you jack up the car.
