So, how do you do it?

Braintree. You may have different laws where you're at. You'd have to clarify what inspection you're referring to.

In PA there are annual state inspections, both for smog (inspection #1) and then for your brakes, tires, lights, etc. (#2). Do you guys not have this? I would imagine states like CA, NY and others would have a comprehensive inspection system, or is it just PA?

Nope, in CA we don't. Only state inspections we have are smog. The car doesn't need to be smogged for the first 6 years from when it was bought new, sold, or whatever. After that, it's every 2 years that it needs to get smogged.

I'm from TX and we also have annual state inspection where they check things like your turn signals, horn, exhaust, lugs, tint, brakes, etc. I know they do check tires but they only measure the amount of tread left. I've never heard anything about "wrong" tire sizes?? HaHa but idk maybe PA may have different rules?

In PA they check your tire size against what's on the door frame to make sure you're not above or below 2 sizes. Most places skip this, but I've seen it done by an overly aggressive mechanic also. This will be my 1st inspection with these tires, so we'll see.

Well... thanks for the info guys, very helpful.

Now, back to the scheduled programming--- AGGRESSIVE TIRES!

nj used to have the same inspection. its a safety inspection. some state facilities wont pass you if youre wheels stick out past the fender also. luckily they did away with the nj saftey inspections beginning this year. now we only have emissions

You better get them quick, i had to change both my rear tires cause they had no camber kit and rubbed from the inside and ended up being run flats. also get the front camber kits also cause the same thing can happen.

here's my g on function and form type 2 coilovers.
