Something good from getting hit?

Something good from getting hit?
So I got my G about 3 months ago now, and one of the worst things about the car were the foggy headlights. Both the drivers side and passengers side headlights were foggy on the inside and outside. I did a little sand and buffing (clearly didnt spend enough time on them) and painted the inside black to try and make them look a little better. About a week ago, my friend backed straight into the driver side headlight and fender while it was parked, and crushed them both . Thankfully, I knew a guy close to me that was great with collision repair and he did a fantastic job restoring everything. He even charged my friends insurance to repaint the whole front bumper! Lucky me right? Anyway, I got the car back and painted the driver headlight black, and it looks amazing now. The new headlight compared to the old one is analogous to the difference between night and day. And all of this only cost me a week of my time since my friends insurance covered everything for me. Pics from before and after
Before:
I didnt take any photos of my lights after I had painted them, but they didnt look that much better since the lense was really foggy
You can kind of tell in these pictures that the bumper is pretty chipped up. I never really got a close up of it to show
After everything was fixed, I took it apart again and painted them black. My passengers side light is still foggy, and Im considering just getting a new headlight to replace it:
This is what it used to look like:
So thanks to my friend and his insurance, I got a new headlight and front bumper for free. Maybe its time to get hit on the passenger side.......
