Couple pictures from my last autocross
Two weekends ago, I had the opportunity to race a friend's '04 G35 at a huge autocross by the Canada border at Loring Air Force Base with the Cumberland Motor Club. We take advantage of the opportunity by loaning out our cars to each other for double the amount of runs so we get more seat time and ultimately have more fun. I regularly autocross(ed) a '08 Mazda 3 in STF. It does really well locally and is competitive at SCCA events. We both raced each other's cars on Sunday.
Here are a few pictures of me behind the wheel. Toooo much fun!
After one of my early morning runs, he made to sure to let me know everything he owns is for sale. Hmmmmm...3 days later he gave me a price I couldn't pass up and I bought it last weekend. Love this thing.
Probably a good thing I couldn't fit in his NSX, huh?

It's got a godspeed front bar on it. And Cusco front arms that were set very conservative at -1.75 camber. Otherwise stock suspension with 275s in the race pics and 255/275 in the other pics.
The front shot was the middle of a sweeper well into 3rd gear. No clue how fast I was going in either car, but folks were reporting close to triple digits. The s2ks and miatas were hitting 4th.
If you're referring to the stain on the rear bumper, its an undercarriage coating the po had applied.

Local event at a very small lot yesterday. Had a blast learning how to getting around the course in a RWD. 1st few runs were sketchy to say the least, but was finally able to put a clean-ish run together towards the end of the day. Ran this event on the 255/275 Nitto Invos that came on the car. Needless to say, it isnt enough tire and they arent sticky enough. Cant wait for real tires and coilovers over the winter.
