while I certainly believe that defending one's personal being is justified, how is shooting two men in the back "defense"?

A Pasadena police officer saw the shooting and said the same thing, ask him.

Means exactly that. If this happened in your home town, it wouldn't even raise an eyebrow yes?

Without knowing the details, it sounds like the guy should be charged IMO.

Considering the state, I'm not surprised.

Oh, you thought Pasadena, CA? Damn dude, didn't you watch Urban Cowboy? Gilley's was in Pasadena.......where the air is greener. There are a lot of chemical plants in that area as the Ship Channel is right there.

GW, did you read the link? If you look closely, I think there is an audio link to the actual 9/11 call that Joe made when he saw the guys first break in.

Sorry. I was focusing on the part where good 'ole Joe disobeyed police orders and appointed himself judge and jury. And executioner it seems.
Audio link won't work here. I only read the text.

EDIT: I'm reading it again to see if I misread.

EDIT X 2: Nope. I read it correctly. What does the audio offer that the text doesn't?

I wonder what the public reaction and grand jury findings would have been if the criminals had been a couple of teenagers..

I can only imagine.

The way I see it, I would like Joe to live next door to me. It's about time that crime does not pay in any way.
