So now it is the Dems fault for not cleaning up the mess that the GOP and the duplicitous Dems made when they authorized military force against Iraq? It is the fault of both and the utter failure of this government and its checks and balances. The political rhetoric and finger pointing only give you the illusion that something is being done.

Reality Check: Each Congressman and Senator make six figure salaries, have the best healthcare in the nation, have the best retirement plans known to exist in this country, and rule over millions of idiots who don't even deserve the freedom they are entitled by simply being born. So why would they do anything to "Fix" the system?

So tell me something, how long had we been in Iraq when she made this speech? She says she will do something and she has not but you change it to the blame Bush tactic. I would say nice try but it was a little poor at best.

I don't see where you get "blame Bush" out of

It comes down to the bi-partisan bullsh*t we allow in gov't. When the Dems won the seats, they had a choice: Be vilified by the GOP and risk not getting a Dem for president or play along with the GOP plan and when it went to sh*t, they would easily win the presidency.

Ever since the democrats took over congress and senate back in 2005(?) oil has done nothing but go up. I didn't even bother to watch the video...so if it said something different disregard my post. If the democrats are saying oil is the fault of the bush administration they are on crack. Gas was fairly consistent around 2.20 or so back in 2005 and then when the democrats took office it started spiking. Politics.

The Democrats' Four-Step Plan to Win the Presidency in 2008:

(1) Win a majority in the House.

(2) Convince two "Independents" to give you a majority in the Senate.

(3) Accelerate the downward spiral of our country.

(4) Point fingers at the Bush Administration.

What exactly did they do to accelerate it? As far as I recall, they pretty much went with whatever Bush and the GOP wanted.

Clinton is the one who vetoed ANWAR to begin with, we would have another million barrels on hand if we had started utilizing that barren wasteland long ago

fortunately, those are not the parts of ANWR that would be drilled!!
"Most of the images of the proposed drilling area that people see on the evening news are misleading precisely because they tend to show the glorious parts of ANWR, even though that's not where the drilling would take place."

check out this article
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/J...acked_up_to_be

"ANWR is roughly the size of South Carolina, and it is spectacular. However, the area where, according to Department of Interior estimates, some 5.7 billion to 16 billion barrels of recoverable oil reside is much smaller and not necessarily as awe-inspiring. It would amount to the size of Dulles airport. "
even the parts that we do drill on, can be left pristine with our latest technology, like steam extraction?

What makes you think that the oil from ANWR stays in the US?
