Nobody beats Spiro T. Agnew for stupid stuff, although Ford is a real close second.

I wrote something that even I found offensive. Am I growing a conscience?

stupid low taxes and a firm foreign policy that gets american hostages released... ending of wars, crippling of dictators. let's worry about the poor.

let's give them loans they can't pay back. that'll stabilize our economy, strengthen the dollar, reduce inflation, and help the poor.

i'm curious, what did congress pass during the reagan administration that you think hurt the poor?

let's give them tax breaks so they don't have to pay a dime while John Q. Public pays up. that'll triple our deficit, demoralize the working poor, increase crime, and help the rich. While we're at it, let's cut funding for school lunches and reclassify ketchup to be a vegetable so we can get away with it. Let's blame gays for AIDS and not put any funding into containing the disease; and tell them it's their fault for being gay.

"Oppressed the poor??" Exactly how?

You must be kidding me. If your fortunes depend on who is in office, then you're not taking responsibility for the poor decisions you've made with your life.

by the way, there is more lycopene in a packet of ketchup than there is in 10 tomatoes.

(i'm sure you knew this, and know exactly what lycopene is)

it's funny to hear my sister complain about this (she's a tree hugging nature hippy who uses rain water collected in barrels to wash her car). she buys her vegetables locally (i like her method of supporting local businesses), and always eats fruits and vegetables (her kids eat 6 servings daily). she can't wrap her head around the fact that my kids get more antioxidants from eating french fries with ketchup from burger king, than her kids do, eating zucchini and carrots.

I'd rather hear "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" than "I don't recall funding/arming terrorist groups"

right.

i'd have preferred, yeah i knew where osama was, and we took him out...

instead of - we knew where he was, but i wanted him to be tried under the courts, but those damn repubs wanted him attacked militarily. i said,'no, because it's unamerican for us not to give him a fair trial.' we should just follow osama until we find out what he's planning.

and, oh, by the way, no drilling, we'll never see any benefit for 10 years.

every president succumbs to the pressures of politics, and it's sickening.
