Dude. Wake up. There was a Hitler before 6 million jews were killed. That is where the comparisons are. Not the act of killing the jews, not the 6 million people. The beliefs before the act.

learned lesson - watch out for people who display those same behaviors to attempt to avoid the next tragedy. Don't wait for it to happen.

Ah, I get it, so we're doing psych evaluations on our president without any training and without actually talking to the guy and comparing him to Hitler. I'll be worried once we invade Mexico or Canada.

Do you need to be a psychologist to see patterns of behavior?

Any parent would see what I'm referring to. Any sensible voter would see patterns as well.

Again, please don't go off on the deep end - there was a Hitler before any invasion.

Why wait for the invasion? Why not prevent the action by recognizing behavior?

Do you also wait for your engine to seize before changing your oil?

We could discuss preventative medicine/maintenance for years, but the bottom line is that everybody knows trends - it's an evolutionary experience. It's what keeps us alive.

Had Hitler not invaded any countries and killed 6 million people, would he even be a blip on the radar? No. He would just be another world leader, forgotten by everyone except historians and the Germans. It's painfully obvious these comparisons are being made to scare everyone into going against our President and the agenda he was voted in for.

But he did. And that is exactly the point. What is a person capable of who has these beliefs and acts in these steps?

How exactly did a person so dangerous rise from practically nothing? How did this start? How can we recognize this so we can prevent it in the future? Basic History 101.

I'm not defending the comparisons - just simply explaining them, because apparently there are those who don't get it.

No, I do get it; but they are without merit.

Take Obama's speech to school children. The wingnuts took that as recruitment for Obama Youth, when all he wanted to say is "stay in school, respect your parents and teachers, and study hard."

Take Obama's push for health care. Nothing new here; we've been trying to reform health care for over 60 years. The wingnuts are using every scare tactic possible; crying eugenics, death panels, and health care for illegals.

The haters will use any similarity to compare Obama to Hitler. I wouldn't be surprised to see a "he's a carbon based life form, just like Hitler!" sign at one of these tea parties.

I didn't hear Obama's speech to my kids. I'm not too worried about that. If anything, I'm glad my daughter (7) is actually excited about politics (she's going to be president, and she expects me to vote for her - you better too).

About Obama's healthcare reform - yes, we all want reform - but not THIS reform. I think that's been stated a thousand different ways.

Of course people will compare extremes, it's the way people remember things the most. Obama does it more than anybody. It's good marketing. The guys selling timeshares do it all the time. People selling used cars, etc...

I believe that some make the comparison, and some just take it with a grain of salt (just like Obama saying Bush/McCain - he wasn't running against Bush, but that didn't stop him from saying it 2000 times). It's called marketing. And the masses are too stupid to realize it. Don't hope the American majority are more intelligent - they are the dumbasses that believed the marketing on both sides. What 6 million of what race is Obama supposed to be exterminating? Was there a gas chamber stimulus bill package we don't know about. I figure Obama has about 8 years max to exterminate 6 million. Logistically, he probably needs to get right on that now. I wonder where these facilities will be located?
