You don't have to be old to be a conservative or young to be a liberal - people who label themselves (in this day and age) paint themselves into a box IMO. I don't even know what a "conservative" is anymore - much less a "liberal." The lines are so blurred that it's hard to tell. I'd be hard-pressed to willingly stereotype myself into either camp.

If you're telling me that a conservative would be someone like Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, or Dick Cheney, then count me out.

If you're telling me that a liberal would be someone like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or Obama, then I'm not in that camp either.

I tend to fall in the middle, taking things from both "sides" as they suit my way of thinking.

I'm 46. Using Booger's logic, I should have abandoned my tendency to think for myself and signed up for the Rush Limbaugh doctrine lock, stock, and barrel. I'd kill myself before that happens. I happen to believe Limbaugh is a destructive, devisive force in our society - but everyone is entitled to their opinion and that's another thread.

The way I see it, the far right and far left factions in this country are going to (if they haven't already) make it impossible to resolve anything and we'll stagnate - unable to move forward or half-step at best and we'll destined to die on the vine.

People think it can't happen here - that our society can't fall/fail like other great societies before us have. I believe the writing is on the wall. Attitudes like Boogers (and his counterpart on the left) will just hasten/solidify the process.

Regardless of healthcare and what happens there, I think our foray into Afghanistan is going to be Obama's legacy regardless of how we handle it (troop #s, strategy, etc). Like Vietnam, we're seeing a liberal President's domestic agenda being trumped by military obligations abroad - it's going to be interesting to see if we repeat the mistakes of the past.

One thing you do have right is that both side are so far apart on every thing . That nothing will ever get done to better the country . The far left want it that way . Obama and his crew want it that way . It is going to lead to a economic crisis if they have it thier way .

I dont even pay attention to statements like his . A week ago it was Rush L. and the week before it was Hannity and the week before that it was Orielly . I think you must fail to realize that you ALREADY live in a system that has qualities of which you hate. ie.. the above. Therefore what you must be saying is that you don't want to live in a system that's MORE like these systems you hate. Question is do you even KNOW Obama even has the ability to do this or if the solutions he is proposing actually accomplish it? I truely think not.
