This is about justice and the delivery of it. That's what everyone wants. In this country, we have a process for delivering justice. To circumvent that process would be to deny yourself the very same liberty that makes this country great; when it gets to that point, then the terrorists have won.

You didnt read the article I posted where 51% of america DONT want the trials to be held in civil court and 29% say its ok .

When you give them the same rites as Americans have ...thats when they win . They dont give a rats azz if they die . They want the lime light , they want to be a martyr and you give them that in a civil court . You are to blind following Obama to see that far in front of your face .

The use of a military trial would be the exception and not the rule despite what a poll of Americans what. We were not at war at the time, they guys were not part of any organized miltary institution belonging to any particular country.

Not putting these idiots in civilian courts would be a travesty upon what this country was founded on. Not the other way around.

This is the correct decision. To do otherwise would be an admission that the US legal system is incapable of fairly bringing to trial a mass murderer in the guise of a terrorist.

Military trials, by their nature, are most often seen as being biased. The last thing that America needs is to have Mohammed tried behind closed doors and where the defence material is largely restricted by the evidence it can use.

Of course this entire tribunal/civilian court debate would be unnecessary if former President Bush had simply abided by the Geneva Convention in the first place.
