Hmmmm.... There's a phone number and what appears to be a drawing of the GT-R. Not sure if I'd pony up any real cash just yet. Maybe when there is some mention of it on infiti's main site. That's just me though, and it is probably that attitude that will make me number 14,876 on the list, when only 300 GT-R will make it here.

Seeing as they are in my backyard I had to call. They are taking $1K deposits on what they believe to be an 08 model. When the cars are released and your number comes up, the car is presented to you. If you don't want it, you get your $1K back. The price will be sticker. Nothing more. All too tempting....

I haven't kept up with the GT-R. But, last I read, it wasn't sure whether it would be sold as a Nissan or an Infiniti. Since this is an Infiniti dealer doing this, does this imply that it's going to be an Infiniti GT-R?

I've read from a Nissan print that it won't be labelled anything but 'GT-R' and will most likely be sold at Infiniti dealerships due to its cost.

we all know how much you can trust dealerships - something will change along the way and bye-bye deposit.

i won't do any pre-orders yet until the factory guys will give us a final say. to me that is just a better business aspect for both myself as a sales consultant and for the consumer.
