Buying 2014 Q50S Hybrid

I'm strongly considering buying a fully loaded 2014 Q50S Hybrid. If anyone has one or knowledge about these, I'd like to hear about any first hand pros and cons that you don't get from reading car reviews.

I have a 2015 Q50S with Nav.

So I don't have everything. But I love my car. As you described yours (having EVERYTHING), I have heard pretty good to great reviews from the owners. Some people without the Tech or something like that, have issues others don't...and I am not sure that is everyone.

Turn the car off. Turn the car on and see how long it takes things to load. Turn it off. Turn it on and put it in reverse. Do your backup lines come up right away?

These seem to be the only areas I have seen people really gripe about....unless they have had other problems that seem unique to their car and not the model itself.

Some people complain that their ability to use the music or turn on AC takes a couple of minutes. Some same it is the same several minutes before the backup lines show on the monitor.

In my 2015, I am quite satisfied with the speed at which the system boots and is available to me.

I also think the 2014 owners with more bells and whistles have also been fine with startup times and don't understand what the others are complaining about.

It is a great car. I love mine. I thought I might get the hybrid....Oh yeah....Small to no trunk. I heard it arrive for a test drive, sounding like a Prius. I missed the growl. People do love the performance of their Q50hybrids though. They are fast beasts.

Thanks for the response. I checked everything you mentioned and it seems to check out. I bought it yesterday and I'm loving it. I tried to talk myself out of buying it but I couldn't do it. Especially after getting on Autotrader and finding out that it was the only used Q50S Hybrid for sale in the entire country.

Get the 2015. The 2014 has lagging infotainment system. 2015 model has upgraded hardware.

The hybrid is steer-by-wire also. Hit or miss for some.

The hybrid with tech package never had any issues with the system. I have a 2014 and I love it. Post pictures of this beast

The drive by wire wasn't to my liking and the interior doesn't impress. Make sure you check out the Lexus GS450h. I was in the same position as you, but after test driving both the cars and doing extensive research on both and the available vehicles out there I ended up going with the Lexus.

Q50 Sport hybrids are extremely hard to find. If I had to get the Q50.. it'd have to be the sport though.

I have a 2015 Q50s hybrid and absolutely love it. I have nav and backup camera, no parking sensors or etc. Haven't had any problems with mine. All the bugs that the 14' had hopefully was fixed when the 15's were released. Only issue I've had was a TSB for the front brakes. Which the dealer covered.
