My light is still blinking..the frist time I tried it, it got slower but stayed that way. Then I tried it again and its back to being steady...wtf am I doing wrong? I tried the longer way and then I tried it the short way...sum1 needs to call me and tell me how...I know this isn't rocket science...so annoying..my dealer charges $108 to fix that...hell nooo...

I just took mine to the dealership, repaired it for free, 2200 in parts, plus they broke the zipper on my drivers back side leather, and replaced that for free, another 1200 bucks worth!

Hmmm, my light never flashes at all, it just comes on and stays on. I tried the process using the timing rather than the flashing indicators and that didn't help anything. Guess I'll just have the dealership give it a look.

installed an aftermarket stereo system (receiver, subs + amp, amplified fronts and rears)... I took out the driver's seat to run cabling and after I put it back in, the airbag light was flashing (i also did not disconnect the battery prior to starting)

I will try this in a few hours and let you know if it worked! Thanks.

Midas replaced my cabin air filter as part of the 60k mile service and couldn't figure out why the airbag light was flashing afterwards. The method below made the light go away the first time I tried it.

To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away

Tried SFLG35's method first, worked like a charm. Now if I could just figure out how to get rid of this "Low Gas" warning light ;] ;]

Thumbs up

This information just saved me $120 for the dealer to connect it to the computer and end up telling me that the problem was caused by something else.

Thanks

I just replaced the driver seat air bag on my G. I've heard that I need to reset the air bag system, not just try to remove the light. Anyone have any suggestions?

here is a tricky one

I Drive a 2003 g35 coupe. I wanted to get aftermarket seats, but you need to remove the stock seats. Gaurantee the airbaglight will go on. will the airbag reset trick or a bypass work? anyway, even if the airbag light disapears how will i know that the airbag would actually work just in case of an accident? The nissan dealership said that if one airbag is removed, all the airbags will be on safe mode and they will not work. I DO NOT NEED AIRBAGS ON MY CHAIR! I HATE IT WHEN A CAR GET TO HIGH TECH FOR AFTERMAKET STUFF.I really want to buy my BRIDE GIAS ALREADY. = (
