DIY: Airbag Reset Instructions for 03-07 G35 Coupe
#168
Great fix and worked to a tee, but foes this trick also affect the factory alarm by chance? My alarm has been randomly going off ever since this fix.
Even stranger is when I plug the key into the ignition to try and turn it off, it does nothing but honk.
I can drive away with the car alarm still going off.

Its workss
this is a little easier
To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away

I have 2005 G35x and this tip has been helpful. Only problem is the light kept coming back for me after a few days.
Took it to a local mechanic and he read the code and said it was a front right door module fault. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything about it. Called a dealer to see and they told me if I go in and decide not to do any work that theres a 190$ fee just to be able to leave the place! Crazy. So I think I'll keep resetting the light for now since its not a front air bag problem.
