How do you take off a stripped nut?

Okay, so I was going to reinstall my strut bar (I took my strut bar off before taking car to body shop- didn't want the chrome scratched), but when I got my car back from the shop I noticed the body shop stripped the nut where my strut bar goes in place.

No socket will fit correctly. They all slip.
I don't know how to get this nut off?

I was thinking of calling the bodyshop that worked on my car to let them know their tech's stripped it when the tightened everything up, but they lag on doing stuff, so I don't want to be out of a car for a whole day for a 15 min job (if that).

Any ideas, anyone?

Thanks!
ARTIE

That should do the trick but also some vice grips should be able to get it off unless the hulk put it on

This is good for when you are desperate and don't mind losing a socket.

wow never even thought of that, thats going to my arsenal of desperate attempts.

Vice grips and the JB weld socket aren't a good idea. If the craftsman bolt extractor set doesn't work. Torch it
