TS ECU & Z-tube

TS ECU & Z-tube
First of all, I already had the MREV+, headers (coated) and cats installed before the Z-tube, so the tube's sudden pressence is certainly known! The induction growl that now accompanies the MREV/header/cat sound is incredible. I might one day consider going to a really nice C/F z-tube (smooth inside, etc.) just for the added resonance. Then again, the OEM look of the Z-tube works well for me too. Also installed the NISMO drop-in filter and it seems to compliment the Z-tube and MREV+ just fine.
After the MREV+, headers and cats were installed, the car felt rich below 2500rpm, but everything seemed right at 3000rpm and above. After the TS F-Spec reflash, the a/f does feel a bit better in that range. But the big improvement is still above 3000rpm. When the MREV kicks at 4000rpm, I can feel some additional power and everything seems to be running just as it should. I haven't taken it to redline since the install, but it sure as h*ll has been pulling nicely through 5500rpms. The induction and exaust growl above 4000rpm is a bit addictive... ...and the car sounds like a mean MF'er now instead of just having some minor exhaust mod.
The other cool thing about getting the reflash is that it pretty much rounds-out my mod plans. I still have brake lines/pads and the clutch/flywheel, etc. to install, as the OEM pieces begin to take a dive. Aside from those, I'm down to just wheels/tires and the CF driveshaft that I've been contemplating.

I don't understand. You apparently didn't send in a/f ratio data but TS was able to give you a F-spec reflash that includes ign/fuel adjustments?
Or did TS give you a reflash that is based on other cars that have similar mods? ie... flashing with an existing map they already have?
Thanks.

Jeff - Yes, my understanding is that they have a base-tuned map for just such a scenario. While my tune could be improved, I really had to settle for simply a better tune than I had with the OEM ECU and my mods. And, of course, the other changes TS does (s-spec) are beneficial as well. Send your a/f sheet (or car) to TS if possible.
jdmeg - TS doesn't do anything visual to the ECU, and it's not detectable with the dealers diagnostic equipment, so it's fairly transparent in terms of normal maintenance and repairs.
