Review: AAM Angled Plenum Spacer-03 6mt.

I recently bought an Altered Atmosphere Plenum spacer from a member on my350z.com. Here is my review and thoughts on the install.

After doing a lot of research I found out it measure 5/8" as compared to a motordyne 1/2 or 5/16". The plenum is angled so this is as the highest point on the spacer (which allows the front to cylinders to breathe more). This plenum spacer is popular on the 350z j because it is angled therefore allowing the stock strut bar to fit.

Install:
Construction and finish looked good and supplied upper Plenum gasket (Nissan) fit well. The only thing that scared me a little was that the two studs on the bottom left and right around the plenum were supposedly not needed to seal the gasket (stock setup uses those studs). In the instructions it said that the gasket would seal properly yet there was not even pressure around the plenum. I ended up using some metric bolts after removing the studs and sealed it properly.

Gains/hp: I noticed a gain throughout the power band rather than at anyone one range. I have an injen intake and a Greddy evo2 installed so I knew it wouldnt be as noticable. However, the car feels faster at mid to redline rpms and acclerates better. I felt more from this mod than from my intake or exhaust together (and I knew this would be the case). Hope this review helps.

Does your hood close with the plenum cover on. or do you leave it off now?

I think he meant will the stock engine cover still fit. I havent been running the infinity engine cover because I don't want it to trap heat and I think any real engine doesnt need a cover. I'm not sure if the g35 cover will fit, I;m going to say no because a 1/2" motordyne spacer wont let it so a 5/8" AAM wont either.

In2win i was thinking the same thing, just thought the angle might make just enough of a difference since its only 5/8 at its highest point. And the rest of you should've known what i meant! Did i miss any punctuation too?
