Nismo Clutch/ flywheel
Hi guys-
150 miles into my Nismo clutch/flywheel upgade , so I thought I'd post a review for the internets.
The switch is from an 06 6mt coupe OEM >>> to Nismo flywheel / clutch disk/ pressure plate set-up. Fist off, for newbies, any drive train upgrade, will reusult in an increase in noise/vibration over OEM, with the upside being increased preformance. I my opinion , the Nismo option reults in an accetable trade-off between these two.
The 20 lb flywheel is lighter than OEM, but not an ultralight like most aftermarket flywheels. The result is a quicker RPM ramp-up without the chatter/rumble at idle that lighter flywheels can have. The exhaust tone actually sounds more agressive now, not sure, but the faster RPM wind-up
may be the reason. RPM drops on shift are not signifcantly different, so I find my shift patterns about the same as before. Clutch pedal pressure is stiffer than OEM, but not excessive. In fact , as a 6' / 200 # dude, it actually feels better to me than the really soft OEM. Engagement is very close to bottom , within 1/2 " , consistent and firm. There is some chatter in 1st and 2nd, but not excessive IMO. In fact, if u have the radio on or even the AC on, the chatter cannot be heard. NO chatter or other rattles at idle, this was what I was worried about the most, sounds completely stock at idle. A very mild fibration is felt (not heard)through the shift ****, no problem there. Oh I also upgraded to SS clutch line, FYI. Can't say how much of the pedal stiffness is NISMO pressure plate vs. SS clutch line, but as I said, it is not excessive and actually feels good to me.
I'll update again in another ~ 250 miles !!

1k update
Well this dosen't seem to be a popular thread/meh , but anyway .......
So 1k into this install and all is good !! The low RPM "chatter" has not increased, and actually seems to be a little less obvious, although this may be me just getting used to it. Still obsolutely no drive triain noises at idle.
Car feels and sounds quicker, Stillen duel has a different more agressive tone, can't explain why, may be the lighter flywhell effecting the RPM's ?? I got frisky at a 4way stop and then a little loose in back (with VDC on), very suprised cause this never happened under the same launch RPMs and clutch dump before. Real /real suprised when popo pulled me over for "exhibition of speed/ unsafe start from stop", but we talked it over an he let me off with warning I'll update again in 1-2 k, but for now I'm very happy. I would definetely do it again. For DD with weekend spirited meets with frriends, it's a great combo IMO. I'm sure there's better options for the track and strip, but this setup is perfect for my needs
