K&N CAI, motordyne 1/2 spacer, megan headers

ok,so I figured Id go throught the individual mods ive put on my car and talk about what i experienced with them. these are in order as when i installed them, so they may act differently as they add up, i supposse. i have an 05 AT

1.
K&N Typhoon CAI: Im suprised i havent seen anything about this mod on these forums. maybe im just not looking. whatever. install was easy, took me and my dad maybe 2 hours or so if i remember right. so it was easy, and fun. i like towork on my car. first of all, it looks great in the engine bay. I got the silver with the blue connectors. just beautiful. as soon as we started the engine we could hear the difference. the engine rumble was just a little louder andmore distinct. but the real fun came when we gave the car a little rev. as the needle hit the upper rpm's, the engine just screamed. it was beautiful,it gave me chills. I was amazed at the sound. then came the test drive. the car performed fantastic. there were easily noticible gains all through the rpm range. the gas pedal wasmore responsive, the car jumped off the line plenty harder, and continued to pull through every gear. i raced a friend of mine and he said that he could hear the air getting sucked into the engine, he loved it. Bottom line: i loved this mod, and consider it a great investment and first mod.

2.
1/2inch motordyne plenum spacer: plenty of things said on these forums about this mod, so i wont say much. easy install, hour or so. again, i like to work on the car, so it was fun. there was a little increase in rumble under the hood when the car was idling. Noticible gains when driving the car. it pulled a little harder, but the difference wasnt like that of the CAI. still, it was a nice gain in performance and sound.

3.
Megan Racing Headers: first off, the mechanic that installed these was impressed the craftsmanship of the part, saying they were nice and was suprised at the price. took him maybe 5 hours to install, it fit perfect and everything, he had no problems. This one dramatically changed the sound of my car. the exhaust note deepened A LOT and accquired a nice rumbling sound. when revved or driven hard, the exhaust roars out the back of the car. so much so that i cant drive fast and talk on the phone, even with the windows up. a friend of mine drives an f150 lariat with a 5.7 litre engine and flowmaster and my cars exhaust is now louder than his. and there is a definite top end gain. my car pulls like normal but somewhere in the top rpm's the car pulls forward suddenly and pushes me back into the seat. a worthy mod.

so yeah, thats all i got so far. i should have a UR pulley set going in on thursday, and maybe a set of test pipes as well,if all goes well. im looking forward to that.

on a side note, Anchorman is a great movie.
