Quick question: does raising the idle with a cipher help keep you from stalling after hard acceleration and going into neutral/engaging clutch? Like after you pass someone... ?

Looking forward to the Lakeland Meet and seeing all your nice rides.

That would be a different problem. What have you done to the intake and how long have you experienced this?

This is a common problem from my understanding with the INJEN intake on the Manuals. If you get a heat shield around your filter it should solve the problem.

Stillen Intake : Skunk2 Plenum Spacer
Has only happened a few times after a very hard (red-line) acceleration and a press in of the clutch. Scared me the first time, but now I look out for it.

Hmm... I've never had that happen to me, but I have a Z tube and a K&N drop in filter with the OEM air box.

Did it ever happen to you before you installed the Stillen intake?

I think Gilley is on the right track here. I've heard about intakes causing this problem, but I don't remember exactly what intake it was. It doesn't seem like it was Stillen, but I'm not sure enough to give you any advice.

OK, maybe a little... If it was me, I'd put the OEM air box back on with the Z tube and see if that fixed it.

When I went from the OEM intake box w/ K&N filter to the JWT pop charger, both with a Z tube, when I would stop and depress the clutch, the RPM's would drop almost to zero. It cleared up after a few days though.

Yeah depends on how long its been on the car same thing happened to me when i put the crawford on after a day or two it stopped. Except i dont have a manual i have the auto but when it was in park the RPMs would flutter between 150 and 300. It could be the computer just learning the new mod.
