FGC All-Florida Meet at Lokey, Saturday, March 3, 2006
The FGC All-Florida Meet at Lokey Infiniti this afternoon was a smashing success!! Great job to all the people and BOD members that planned and executed the event. Also, special thanks to John Oliva for getting Lokey on board and planning the day's event.
As most of you know, I took quite a few pictures today. Here are some of my favorite photos of the most interesting cars and people.
Most people started arriving at Lokey around 9:00am Saturday morning. Almost everyone had a few love bugs or bits of grime to clean off. Here suaveyankees (Steve) cleans the roof of his gorgeous yellow G35 Coupe.

pearlwhite03 (Paul) even has a few buckets out to clean up his twin-turbo IP Coupe.

Both of them cleaned up pretty well as you can see here.

The Florida g35 Club got prine real estate at Lokey today. Here are g8tor20 (Jason), a very nice G35 Sedan owned by lhensley (Luke), and 98intrigue (Ryan) next to Lokey's front showroom.

Here's another picture of the Luke's G35 Sedan from the prior picture. Very tasteful job on an incredible Sedan!

chuckkrugiii (Chuck) fashioned a roving red beam behind the grill on his black G35 Coupe. It reminds me of something, but I'm not sure what. Amazing execution and quite a unique look.

Here's a nice picture of Twinchell (Todd) and his spotless IP Coupe. His 20" Mayas and tasteful suspension drop make quite a statement.

DaBomb (Wes) had his black G35 Coupe out with its new wheels and springs. It looked great!

There were so many G35s and 350Zs that people were parking everywhere. Here you can see audiblemayhem (Jeremy) and PimpinPearl (Josh) at the edge of Lokey's parking lot. Look closely, that is one low 350Z.

I have a couple more pictures. I'll post them in the next message.

98intrigue (Ryan) had his G35 Coupe out for the Meet. It was spotless and clean as a whistle... but there was one thing more that we all wanted to see.

And sure enough, Ryan had his new bumper on the car. While Ryan seems to notice all the small, nitpickey things we all notice on our cars, I think it came out great and looks super.

And then we get to Gilley (Sean). Sean is probbly going to cost me some money. Here you can see Sean shining his new 2006 projector beam headlights. Sean installed them himself and they look great.

And on top of that, he dumps his amber corners and turns to the dark side, I mean the clear corners side... right before our eyes! I have to say that the amber corners do look a bit out of place when you upgrade to 2006 projector headlights (without the amber turn signal).

This was one of the surprises of the meet. Most of you know SFLG35 (Dan), he's always running around installing things on other people's cars at most FGC meets. This time, Dan washed and cleaned up his own car first. I didn't realize it was in such good shape. Very nice Dan, keep it up!

Here's a picture of one of the nicest engine compartments at the meet. I believe this belongs to Tom Porter (Madboost).

And another 350Z engine compartment. I think the Z guys are more serious about horsepower than we are.

There were also a few political topics to finalize. Here, Wes hands the President's Plaque to new President, Chuck.

And, last but not least, the new Board of Directors were presented. They are, from left to right, pearlwhite03 (Paul), Finiti35 (Teddy), chuckkrugiii (Chuck - President), SFLG35 (Daniel - Vice President), DaBomb (Wes - Treasurer), g8tor20 (Jason), Demonteverde (Ian), MIA_G35 (Raul), and Escobar929 (Jose) who was missing for the photo, but not for the event.

So, what did we do after that? We went to Smokey Bones to eat some more of course...

Another great FGC event. Great job everyone!!!
