Renting Track for a day..

i was just talking to my friend eric from my350z and he has found out some information about renting out a road course in Gainesville for all day. its approx. 1.6 miles long and can be set up a few different ways. we are wanting to do this on a Sat in June. that is pretty much the soonest available date to get it. the price is somewhere around $2000 +- we are wanting to get between 10-20 people who are seriously interested in going. we will have the track for the whole day to make as many runs as we want. the course will not have any instructor working so people who have not been on a road course will need to take it easy at first.

we only need 10-20 people and the price will be adjusted accordingly 2000/X

there is a small deposit that i will take care of before hand if we get a few people interested. the money is due two weeks prior to the date we set. so when we have it all orginized i will figure out how we can all have our money in place to pay it on time...

thanks guys and this sounds like it would be a really fun day of driving...

2. Jeremy
3. Eric (my old roommate)

I'd like to check it out. I wouldn't go on the track but may go to watch and shoot some video.

I checked into renting sebring a couple years back and at taht time it was over $10k/DAY with $2k NON refundable deposit. sebring is a great track though and if you have an interest in driving it I'd highly recommend www.safemotorsports.com, they have 3 saturdays here this year--27 may, 20 august and 23 september. of all the clubs I've driven with, they are my favorite. they also do moroso and homestead. typical entry fee is $250/day.

gainesville is a neat facility too in that the drag strip is right there and the test course can be configured several ways. it's a short course though, not nearly enough room to really stretch your legs.

that seems very low but could be correct--a lot of clubs like safe, chin, pboc, pca, etc. rent the track multiple times per year so they probably get a break.
