How bad will JOBA the hut get rocked tonight?!?!

Any Yankee lovers/haters out there? I hate the Yankees, so, naturally, I want to see the kid get shelled.

Put me down for 'hater'. Yeah, hopefully he's in tough against Jays' Cy Young winner Roy Halladay.

looks like it was just a pitch count thing since he threw a ton in the first inning with 3 walks and 1 earned run...

Yeah, I actually ended up buying a new pathfinder LE V8 last wednesday. I was planning on waiting a little while, but my old 90 wrangler decided to blow a radiator at the nissan dealership in front of the pathfinders, so, I test drove one, and liked it.... haha. I was planning on posting some pics and update eventually, weather has sucked though. haha.

Good thing your Jeep didn't blow up on front of the Lada dealer.

So I was on a flight the other day and saw this particular item they sold in the SkyMall magazine:

I love the description, 'NY Phenom has taken the big leagues by storm'. What has this kid done in the big leagues at all?

He has had some sucess as a setup man last year when they made the playoff push and whatnot- blah blah blah. He is over-hyped. He will have a decent start next time out which will get the pitch count limit off of him and then the pressure will cook him in NY. I dont see his arm lasting either - he shows too much body strain throwing in the mid 90s.

Joba will be fine but its gonna be different going from 3 batters to 3 times through the line up. I look at this situation like we had with Pap, both were shut down closer/set up. Im glad Pap is in the pen but no one knows if he could have been a number 1 or 2 starter. My only question for NY is whos gonna pitch the 8th? Hawkins? Fansworth? Whats gonna happen when the Yankees get back in it are the gonna shut down Joba like we did with Bucholtz? Its gonna be interesting.

I think Joba is a career relief type pitcher. Much like Kerry Wood should have been. Watch a young Randy Johnson or Nolan Ryan throw in the mid 90s then watch Joba or Wood- they look like they are overthrowing to hit those radar speeds. Doing that 1-2 innings at a time, you can last. Trying to do it for 7 innings every fifth day, its killer...

I am completely fine with seeing the Yankees fall flat on their face. I think I already despise Hank Steinbrenner as much or more than George.

Pap could have been a starter I think, and successful. That ship may have sailed now though...

Kerry Wood would have been fine if they didnt pitch him till his arm fell off lol. What a shame
