#1 Underdog Story in the HISTORY of College Sports
After starting their regular season 8-12, Fresno State (89th ranked by RPI) came into the college baseball tournament as a Regional 4 seed (equivalent to a 13-16 seed in the NCAA Basketball tournament). After being on the road for over straight 40 days, and blasting through teams ranked in the top 10, Fresno State has become the lowest seeded team in all of college sports to win a national championship. Absolutely amazing!

Georgia was 7 or 8. Fresno State also beat 2nd ranked North Carolina, 3rd ranked Arizona State, and 6th ranked Rice to get to the finals.
