AFFLICTION: Banned (for all you MMA fans)
I was at the Honda Center for this event and all i can say is WOW
i have been watching MMA for years and this was the first event i decided to go to and i have no regrets. One the best cards i have ever seen in my life. Here were my favoite fights of the night... Vitor Belfort vs Terry Martin was amazing and Vitor ended him with a vicious KO (and if youve seen Martin get KO'd you know he looks the same way everytime he does) Little Nog vs Edwin Dewees was a pretty sick fight as well, dewees was softening him up a little in the beginning but after just a few minutes the tide turned and Lil Nog finished him beautifully in the corner of the ring via tko Josh Barnett vs Pedro Rizzo was a fight i thought would be boring and for the most part it was until the end when Barnett landed a beautiful left hook to lay Rizzo flat on the mat Andrei Arlovski vs Ben Rothwell is up there as one of my favorite fights in history. The energy in the stadium during this fight was insane and it was just a crazy feeling to be there. This fight was a war with both guys dishin out punishment with arlovski getting the better of Rothwell (props to rothwell for his iron chin, he took a lot of serious blows) and in the third round arlovski lands a crazy knee to Ben's face and goes on later to lay him out beautifully in the third round Fedor Emelianko vs Tim Sylvia - this fight lasted only baout 40 seconds but the punches thrown by the worlds best in Fedor left me in amazement. Fedor quickly picked apart the 6'8 265 pound tim sylvia with vicous punches to drop the big man and finished it off with a nice rear naked choke. All in all, sick *** event

i bought the Affliction PPV and changed it to the FREE UFC because the Affliction was boring. Not to mention the Video Quality was horrible, i wonder what kind of cameras they were using. The only thing i liked was of course the main event when Fedor WHOOOOOPED the Maniac!!! HAHAHA!!! thats what he gets for thinking he's ANYWHERE near as good, and Andrei Arlovski looked GREAT!! That was a nice fight too. Other than that, i just watched the free stuff on TV, you cant beat the production and entertainment and fighters that UFC offers.

+1 on the quality but that was their only downfall...that card was stacked I need to see that Arlovski fight anybody have a link?

haha i guess it was better for me cuz i was actually there
i thought it was amazing, i saw some great finishes. i watched the UFC event as well when i got home and i thought affliction was much better but again its most likly cuz i was actually there. i dunno about the quality of it but the event was sick. The events in the UFC werent that exciting the franca-edgar fight was boring as hell, i knew it would go to a boring decision. The dollaway fight was alright, good submisssion finish though. The Johnson fight was bull****, Burns shoulda be disqualified. Vera had one of his most boring performances to date. The main event was great though, anderson proved hes a contender at any weight he competes at and i think that the 185 division doesnt have any exciting or worthy competition for anderson silva and he would be much more exciting to watch at 205 to fight some of the actual greatest fighters in the world
