Golf Driver Recommendations

Right now I am using a Nike SQ 9.5 and I'm trying to find a new driver that is worth getting. I have demo'd several new ones but none seem to anything for me to warrant their price tags.

So far:
- Taylor Made Tour Burner TP 9.5 (S)
- Ping G10 9.5 (S)
- Titleist 907 D2 9 (S)

I don't seem to gain any distance from them. I swing around 105MPH on average.

Today I picked up a Callaway Ft-F 8.5 (S) and I nailed it 305 on the fly 330 total, a good 15 yards further than the others I have tried. There really aren't any other clubs I can try and since this club is now only about $250 I'm thinking of buying it.. Has anyone had any luck gaining a little more from a different driver? I know all I can really do is swing faster but there's no way I'm going to be up around 130 anytime soon.

I've gone through various drivers but the first time I picked up a Callaway driver, I IMMEDIATELY gained over 20 yds in distance on average. Not to mention it's much more forgiving towards preventing the dreaded power slice or snap hooks. I'll never buy a different manufacturer when it comes to drivers.

You can also play with different shaft manufacturers and stiffness to further tweak your driving.

Thanks for the reply, I am eager to get out a test this puppy out. Right now I got a demo with 65-S shaft and depending on how much workability I get out of it, I'll probably go ahead and get one with the 75 shaft 8.5.

Which driver are you using? The Ft-5 is now on sale so I'm wondering when and what will be coming out soon.. It's probably not worth waiting for really and paying 2x as much for. I've never really played with Callaway clubs I usually stick to Taylor Made but this Driver is far superior to the TM Tour Burner TP.

I haven't purchased a new one in almost two years as I am totally happy with what I have right now.

I use the Big Bertha Titanium 454 with an Aldilla shaft at stiff flex. My swing speed is around 122. My average drive is around 280-285 and on occasion I can put it over 300.

I can absolutely crush it off the tee with this one...I don't plan on trying anything different anytime soon.

122mph? Was that a typo? If you are controlably swinging that fast you should easily be putting it 330+ on a bad day! Either you play a massive fade or your club is too lofted (what do you play a 10?).. Maybe it's time for a new Driver, you should have no problem getting 300+ of the tee @ 122mph!

I swing hard. My loft is 9.5 but my launch angle is really steep. I'm thinking about getting it reshafted to get a more optimal launch angle but it's so reliable that I am afraid to try and make any changes to the club.

LOL

My dad has an R7 it does nothing for me either. I get much more from my Nike SQ. R7 is not something I need to be hitting.
