America's Olympic System
I've been out of the US for the past year, so I just heard that Tyson Gay will not be competing in the 200m. WTF? This happened last year as well. They guy is considered by many the fastest man in the world. He has completed the 100m faster than any man in history, ever-ever. He won both World Championship in Osaka for the 100m/200m. Shouldn't he be allowed to compete in the 200 as well? This happened during the 2000 Olympic trials too. However, we lost TWO star atheletes, not just one.
We need to change the system I believe, based on recent past performances.
