Hell ya im Hating lol Im talking about the Yanks. But seriously your team has some big holes. The only problem I see on the Sox is Ortiz, Tek and Lugo.

And yes our homegrown talent you could argue is the best its has ever been.

Lester one of the best young lefties
Pedroia stud on every level except speed
Youk Gold glove hitting machine
Ellsbury decent with serious speed
Pap one of the best closers
Masterson is pretty damn good
Delcarmen solid reliever

You guys basically have

Cano and Joba. Granted Joba is gonna be great.

The fact is you reign is over, Your owner and Cashman are asleep at the wheel.
I still hope the Yanks do good enough to make it an exciting year. As much as I hate them I need them

Yanks reign will never be over...like its always been lets see what happens later on in the year. New stadium+new players/pitchers= slow start. Common now even you hate to admit they make their runs at the end of the year and are always there in the postseason.

You have a hole in your short term memory?!?!

As naughty 240 said, as much as I hate em, I need em. The playoffs just were not as much fun last year without getting to watch someone beat the yanks.

I was referring to the "kids". I know those guys are "real yankees" Thats when the Yankees were good and smart, mixing the young talent with the veterans. That worked great. Now its buy any one who is a FA.

Maybe its in the long term too. Captain obvious over here says to tell you they didnt always make the playoffs every year either. Its a phrase bud. Your better then that.

The Yankees have won a leading 26 World Series in 39 appearances (which, since the first World Series in 1903, currently amounts to an average appearance every 2.7 seasons and a championship every 4.0 seasons); the St. Louis Cardinals are second with ten World Series victories. The Yankees' number of World Series losses, 13, also leads in Major League Baseball, with the New York/San Francisco Giants coming in at second place with 12. The Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers are second in total World Series appearances with eighteen; eleven of those eighteen appearances have been against the Yankees, where the Dodgers have gone 3-8 against them.[29] Among North American major sports, the Yankees' success is only approached by the 24 Stanley Cup championships of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League. They have played in the World Series against every National League pennant winner except the Houston Astros and the Colorado Rockies, a feat that no other team is even close to matching.[30]

Through 2008, the Yankees have an all-time regular season winning percentage of .567 (a 9472-7235 record), the best of any team in baseball.[31]

The only stat that you need to pull out is when the Yankees are down all they do is BUY the talent off of their competition. And they spend more thir payroll is more than double the league average (and with their ridiculous payroll they greatly bring up the average so take them out and they are more like 3 or 4 times the league average). For them not to win a World Series every three years is a complete embarrassment.
