Re-Installed Stock intake
Question I just put my stock intake back in, and i was wondering if I need to reset with disconnecting my battery?

Yeah, my ECU is set on the most aggressive setting it has, I'm sure.
I'd hate to have to reset mine.... all that hard driving wasted! ![]()

It's hard to said but base on PPL dyno and my feelings on pedal..YES!!
better than Stillen.HFC's and Stock Yes!!!

I would say that it's mainly the D gear where the ECU learning really affects it, however maybe the ECU plays with the throttle sensitivity based on your driving now that would be a different story....

FWIW, I think everyone is way too obsessed with the ECU learning in this car.
It won't make a difference at full throttle at all. And if you drive an auto and want to go faster, just give it more gas. If you drive a manual, just shift later.

http://g35driver.com/forums/3339951-post86.html The baseline parameters of the ECU will be remapped in a manner that will allow for full open throttle. The baseline setting at full throttle is at around 80% of full open. All the ECU learning and hard drving will never allow the ECU to to go beyond its defined parameters. The primary function of the re-flash is to reset the baseline parameters so the car can perform at the highest level possible given its current configuration.

All a reflash is going to do is change things like timing and A/F. You can also change your shift points, and rev limiter, etc. There's no "full open throttle" setting. When you floor the car, you're at 100% throttle. There's nothing past that. ![]()

The second part about "resetting parameters" is correct though.
And no matter what they do, the bottom line is all that matters.... how much power you get.

First of all, different cars run different times stock. One G35 could run a 13.8 while another runs a 14.1. Then, there's driver error and weather conditions to consider. Bottom line, a tune should net about 10hp, or .1 second in the 1/4 and 1mph. BUT, that's going to be hard to prove on a track or a dyno for that matter.
