What is that horrible hiss sound in AUX mode??
I recently purchased an '08 G35 Sedan which included the Premium Package without NAV system. Over the weekend I was installing my Sirius Sportster unit and using the RCA inputs located under the armrest for the audio input (AUX mode). Come to find out... there is this nasty hissing sound when the volume reaches about 50%. At first I thought it was engine noise or some other type of interference, but that's not the case. So I unplugged the RCA cables and cranked up the volume in AUX mode and sure enough the hissing sound is there when the volume reaches about 50%. It should be dead silent! So I switched over to the Ipod interface and cranked up the volume exceeding 50% and it works perfectly fine without the hiss. Anyone else experiencing this problem?? It's going to give me a headache every time I use the AUX input!
Thanks everyone |

That's caused by a ground loop and can be eliminated by using a ground loop isolator like this one available at radioshack:

+1 Yep. As Christian says, the isolator from Radio Shack will fix it - it doesn't work with video tho.
