Good question.
Every time I ask for this, I get the youtube video for the 06 sedan. It may be similar, but it's not 100% the same. If my wife ever gives me a second to myself, I may take pics when I replce mine and attempt to make a quick and dirty DIY. That filter has been sitting in it's box down in the garage for a month now. If anyone gets to it before me, it's much appreciated!

Just did my cabin filter today in my 2007 sedan
It took me all of about 20 minutes. It’s a piece of cake. Sorry I didn’t take pics while I was doing it, but here are some after completion pictures.
Its much easier to do than the 2003 to 2006 G35 sedan. You DONT have to take out the rail on the side (which is the first thing he does in the video) or the 2nd panel at the 30 seconds mark in the video. All you have to do it this: 1. Pop out the side piece (see my picture). Just pull it right off. 2. Pop out the bottom piece (just like the step at the 44 seconds mark in the video) 3. Take out the glove box, BEFORE you unscrew the 6 screws in the front (see my pic). Its really easy to remove the glove box, just look at the track that it sits in, bend it a little, and pull it out. 4. But unlike the 2003 to 2006 there is one more screw once you get the glove box out (that’s why you have to take it out first). Its in the middle that holds it in place. You can’t miss it or you wont be able to get to the cabin filter. 5. Then follow the video from 3:31 seconds on and your done I bought mine on Ebay for $20 shipped. Its made by TYC and it came with the instructions for the 2007 and 2008 G35 Sedan in the box. The instructions were about 80% correct, but if you watch the video and read the instruction, there is really no way you should not be able to do this. If you are in Orange County, CA, and want me to help you, just let me know. Im sure you can return the favor, or get me a nice 6 pack. I also changed mine yesterday. Not too tough, just take your time and use common sense and you shouldn't have any problems. In 2008 Infiniti changed the G35 filter from plain paper to charcoal activated to absorb odors. The 08 filter fits perfectly in 07's. Infiniti list price is about $80, you can find aftermarket brands (I used a NPN brand filter) for around $25-30.

I just installed a micronair filter in my '07 sedan. The micronair filter is about 1 centimeter narrower (left to right) than the OEM filter. there's quite a bit of space between the sides of filter and the blower assembly. Even with the OEM filter, it doesn't fill the space completely. Interesting...
Anyone else see the same thing with aftermarket filters?

I bought a Micron-Air filter for our MDX and it fit perfectly.
Haven't tried one in the G yet. In fact, I haven't even installed my $60 OEM yet. I keep forgetting to do it.

oh btw i already had the charcoal filter in there when I took out the old one... weird eh? they looked the same.... slighty grey etc
