G37 Big Brake Kit - Seperating

I was thinking of splitting up the cost of the big brakes and maybe trying to do the rears first, then the fronts or maybe vice versa. If you all were going to do this, which end would you do first, which end could be improved upon more?

I pm'ed Mike@Riverside to see if he'd sell them split up like that, if not, I may try to get them locally.

I would not split up the install. MAYBE if you were already on the OEM Brembo setup. Other than that, I say no. Bias won't be where you want it.

Yea, I was wondering about the bias. Thats kinda why I was thinking of going with the 2 piston caliper set first, then adding the stronger 4 piston ones a little bit later.

do front first.

Fronts do most of the stopping.

Unless you drive in reverse allot!

No. Do NONE first if you value oem brake bias.

OUr cars come with EBD(Electronic Brake Distribution) System and my guess is that it might be thrown off with the difference in force being applied.

Hell, I kinda figured the EBD and all the other controls would kinda keep it all in check anyways... I dunno. We'll see.

Really. I had put the front on my coupe first and rolled up to SAn Mateo for a show. Not a good idea. These brakes are awesome and the bias was off so bad I felt as if the rear was going to come around. Its not a bad price and get both at the same time....It's Rick or Tony at riverside..

if I was to try something like that it would be the rear first beacuse if the rear grabs harder its not going to throw you into a spin or cause problems really but if the fronts are grabbing harder than the rears, it can cause some serious handling problems.

bias to the rear isn't so bad where bias to the front can be hell unless you specifically needed it that was for a road course or something.
