Journey springs vs. Sport springs
Are these springs equal, same parts or are the sport springs a little stiffer? I know the sway bars are different so I'm wondering if that's the extent of the handling differences or if it extends into the springs as well. I'm trying to tighten the car up w/o having to lower and my sway bar idea just took a crap. I may be forced to go Impuls or TommyKs if they are the same.
Thanks.

I say the sport springs are stiffer.I started an argument about this here a while back.My 08 sport rides stiffer than the standard journey model. The parts dept lists the journey and sport springs as the same number, but the specs in the factory brochure list the sport model as having a stiffer suspension.******* From My own observation.....I test drove a standard journey, a sport auto, and a sport 6mt. The two sport models were the same stiffness.I put the journey 17'' wheels and tires on My 08 sport 5at to soften the ride a little.(Yes..the factory 17'' wheels will clear the sport model big brakes) It now rides softer, but it is still stiffer than the standard journey model!

The spec sheet lists "unique steering, rear shock tuning" under the Sport tuning option. So it must be the rear shocks that are different, not the springs.
If that's the case, I'll get sport shocks on my journey when they need to be replaced. http://www.nissannews.com/assets/spe...edan_Specs.pdf

It must be something other than the springs. No company would make two different sets of springs and give them the same part number. It might be the shocks and struts rebound rate you are feeling.

I have G37 sport springs, i haven't taken out my factory springs yet to compare, but i plan to within 2 weeks. From what i read they are about 1/2 inch difference, which is what i'm looking for drop wise...

What I'm waiting for is the 370Z.... They should have shorter springs.
Then we could do the same thing as we did with the 1st gen sedans & Z springs.
