INSANE TO DROP?...24K miles/year highway...
I lay down a ton of miles (fun when your in a G). I love my car and want to see that gap above the tires closed. Am I insane to consider a drop? I am assuming I would likely be replacing tires fast. Anyone have experience with a drop on a highly driven G?

Your not insane to drop it. If you do it right and get a good alignment there wont be any suffering on the vehicle. Of course your shock life will get impacted a little bit,but other than that your fine. I and many others on here have dropped our G's. I am still on my stock shocks and love the look and drive of the G after the drop. Just search this forum for other peoples opinions.

24k ain't no ton of miles... try 35k to 40k.... it's all in the alignment. if you go for a moderate drop and do what needs to be done to get it to original specs, there will be no adverse effects except the fun factor might go up causing an increase in speed and tickets.

+1, I dropped mine and we do about the same amount/year. It's a sport already and I put 19" 35 series tires so, yeah, it a little rough, but we love it.
