Can G35 Sport tires be rotated?
I know the front and rear are different sizes, but if left-to-right rotation possible, or no?
Do 'directional' tires mean that the inside and outside are specified, or the direction of rolling is fixed? |

no. the fronts are narrower than the rear and the offset of the wheel is different. rotating is basically moving the front to the rear and you can't do that with the staggered wheel/tire setup.
Directional tires have a "one-way" tread pattern that are optimized for the direction the tires rotate on the car. They must therefore be mounted on either the left or right side. Little arrows or triangles on the sidewall indicate which way the tire is supposed to turn. The tread blocks and grooves are angled to optimize handling. They also do a good job of channeling water out from under the tire on wet surfaces to reduce hydroplaning and improve wet traction. Directional tires can be rotated front-to-rear (if same size, of course) but cannot be rotated side-to-side.

you cannot go from front to rear....but you can however swap sides(dismounting from rims and remounting on opposing side) this helps people with camber issues

just as an FYI (you may know this already) the stock RE050A on the S is not directional. It is assymetric though, so they have a dedicated outside and inside tread. So no need to unmount/remount then on the rims on opposing sides if for some reason you need them rotated that way.

are the stock tires not directional? I got rid of em so fast, I never paid attention to it....

look at the tire.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/BigPic...Potenza+RE050A Note the lack of directional rotation arrows. Also note that it says "outside" on the tire. the RE050A is NOT directional. Most assymmetric tires are not directional. There're maybe one or two tires that are both assymmetric and directional and the RE050As is not one of them. |

Unless your VLSD isn't working, or your alignment is off, rotating from left to right won't make a difference.
Or, if you drive your car in nascar and love left turns.

Right, whether or not it's worth the rotation is a separate point (and in most cases it's not). But the 050As are not directional. The non asymmetric 050s are:

This is correct - the stock sport Bridgestones are not directional, and can be rotated side-to-side without dismounting the tire.
