My dad used to run tour trips to Iceland. He prolly went 12 times. Never had a bad thing to say, always had a good time, and the people were awesome.

When I go what I would really love to do is rent a car and drive around the ring road. Problem with that is I'll have to do a lot of research for hotels where to stay along the road.

I was stationed in Keflavik in the last 90's. It was one oif the best years of my life. The people are so friendly and the women are hott. Rejavik is the capital city. Try and go during the summer, given how close it is to the artic circle, when u get out of the clubs, the sun is still shining. My oh my, you got me thinking of days gone by.

Yeah thats the plus side of going during the summer. Winter is cool too because of the auroras.

Iceland is one place I would like to visit. One of these days I am going to just get up, buy a plane ticket and go out of the blue.

I had been trying to talk my wife into to traveling there. The last two trips out of the U.S. were to France and you fly over the southern end of Iceland on the way home (on the way the to Europe it's dark so you can't see the area). I've thought it would be so cool to go there. Of course the kids probably wouldn't like the temperature too much. They had a few little problems last year when we took them to Salt Lake City the day after Christmas. We've been to France twice and during our two week stay last year, we spent the weekend in Monaco. Monaco is beautiful as well as Nice, but I would think weather wise almost a 180* turn from Iceland. I think we're planning on Ireland next year.

Later,

Ray
