How can I drive across America...for free?

I did a bit of research on this and didn't come up with much except elaborate advertising plans...which I just dont think will work for me.

I figured theres gotta be some people/business that needs to relocate a car across America...and needs a driver to do it. Anyone know anything about this sort of thing.

I live in CT, I plan on going to college in CA. Wondered if maybe I could see America on the way

Oh by the way I'm 18 and I understand if a rental car company wont trust me then why should anyone but yea can anyone help me?

A friend of mine did the car transport thing for a few months. She's hard to track down, but if I can I'll get some contact info. You'll get sent wherever they need you to go.

well i found the term is called "driveaway" and alot have people have done them with great experiences. they put down a deposit for like $300 and take notes on dings/damage the car has before the trip.

unfortunately I seem to run into the "you must be over the age of 23 to apply" deal :/ anyone know of someone who could hook me up?

i'm pretty sure i'm just going to drive my Z/whatever car i get across
