La Romana Vacation Pics

I got back from our week long vacation in La Romana. It was a very nice vacation and a beautiful place to spend a week. The weather was sunny and hot every day (which is what I love), the resort was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable............so none of us had any complaints whatsoever.

My wife and I also celebrated our 3 Wedding Anniversary there so we had a romantic dinner out on a pier over the water. It was just such a beautiful setting to have a romantic supper. It was also the first trip away with our 13 month old daughter and she really had an awesome time. I even got her in a pool for the first time.

Anyways, here are a bunch of pics of our trip.

In the air

Coast of the Dominican Republic

Flying into La Romana. As you can see, it's a very poor Country

Some various pics of the place we stayed at

Nice to have you back, Shane. Great Pics!!! I know it has been said before but I'll say it again...your daughter is gorgeous. Oh, and flamingos are some seriously old looking birds.

Great pics! I've been looking for another parents only vacation spot like that. What was the name of the resort? Would you recommend it?

LOL, I love my Corona hat!

I ate a lot of seafood (different fish, calamari rings, octopus, etc) and most of it I've had before. But I did have swordfish for the first time, it was very good.

The name of the resort is Suncape Casa Del Mar and I would highly recommend to fellow parents. While it's not a Parents only resort, the amount of activities that it offers for children is the best I've seen yet. Every night they would setup a big screen right on the beach and play movies with popcorn, hotdogs, etc. They also have a kids club called the Explorers club that looked very cool. My daughter was too young to go to it though since it's for kids aged 3-12. This resort definitely got a thumbs up from me.

It was an all inclusive package and it cost me $955 plus tax per person. The package included airfare, accommodations at the resort, all food and drinks, and all activities for 7 nights/8 days.
